Desert Trekking

Hiking in the Moroccan desert is an activity involving walking through magnificent landscapes and sand dunes. It's a unique experience for nature lovers and adventurers in search of an authentic experience.

We offer a wide range of hiking itineraries to suit all levels of experience and duration. Some tours, lasting from a few days to a few weeks, will take you through the magnificent dunes, verdant oases, canyons and mountains of the Moroccan desert.

When temperatures are milder, spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are generally the best seasons for desert trekking. Winters can be cold at night and summers can be extremely hot. However, for those who prefer more extreme conditions, we organize treks all year round.

People in good general physical condition can participate in most of our treks. However, for some of the more challenging treks, greater stamina and ability to walk over diverse terrain may be required. Consult our team before signing up for a trek to find out which itinerary best suits your fitness level.

You'll be accommodated in traditional Bedouin tents or in bivouacs under the stars during your trekking trip. The facilities will be simple but comfortable, giving you a true desert experience. If you wish, we can arrange more luxurious accommodation in hotels or riads during your stay outside the trek.

You should bring desert-appropriate clothing, comfortable hiking boots, a backpack, a warm sleeping bag, a flashlight, a water bottle, a hat, personal medication and any other essential equipment. A complete packing list will be provided prior to departure.
